Biography
Peter
Scolamiero, who passed away in his 80's, was a devoted
commercial artist that divided his talents between his photography, figure
drawing, sculpting, and painting. He had a love for abstract work. It had
been said of Peter that "He draws like a sculptor," spending many hours
auditing classes at Rutgers University in his later years to do his figure
drawings.
He lived and worked in New Jersey.
He graduated, a student of art, and president of his class from the Newark
Public School of Fine Art and Industrial Art in 1937.
His work was featured regularly at
The Barrons Art Center in Woodbridge New Jersey and he sold his abstract
paintings from these exhibits. We will be featuring much more of his work,
including his sculpture in the future.
